The Barn Nail

Ingredients

• 1/4 ounce spiced honey syrup
• 1 1/2 ounce rye whiskey
• 1/2 ounce Luxardo maraschino liqueur
• 2 dashes plus 2 drops Angostura bitters
• Orange peel for garnish

Technique

1. In an ice-filled mixing glass, combine the whiskey, honey syrup, cherry liqueur and bitters.
2. Stir with a bar spoon until cold.
3. Pour into a double old fashioned glass (with as much ice as you like).
4. Garnish with an orange peel.
